New York City native, David Plastik
New York City native, David Plastik, traveled the World as a rock n’ roll loving teen, picked up his first camera in 1980 at the age of 16, and started shooting.
For the next historic, chaotic, colorful, crazy decade of decadence, David and his single lens reflex were as ubiquitous as spandex and Marshall Stacks. Clubs, theaters, arenas, stadiums – if live music was playing, David was there, usually in the pit pressed up against the stage, capturing the moment and emotions of the era’s most iconic performers.
His concert work has appeared in numerous respected publications from Rolling Stone to RIP and Creem, as well as in film documentaries, books, and on various album sleeves.
